Since its creation in 1935, has been an event of great prestige. The beauty pageant will be held this Sunday, July 7 and promises to be an event full of joy, excitement, memorable moments, both for the contestants and the spectators. The road to Miss USA starts with the coveted Miss Florida USA title! But how do you impress the judges? Here’s a breakdown of the key criteria:

  • 50% Interview: During a private three-minute conversation, the Selection Committee will assess the candidate’s personality, communication skills, and overall presence. They have to be prepared to discuss topics like family, education, passions, community involvement, and goals.
  • 25% Physical Fitness: Here, the focus is on overall health and well-being, not just physical appearance. The judges want to see the candidates carry themselves with poise and demonstrate a dedication to a healthy lifestyle.
  • 25% Evening Gown: This segment showcases the candidates stage presence, confidence, elegance, and sense of style. They will have to choose a gown that reflects their personality and allow them to move gracefully with confidence.

Who was the winner of last year’s Miss Florida USA?

Juliette Ashley Valley of Plantation, Florida, earned the title in 2023, at the RP Funding Center in Lakeland, Florida. The model represented the state at the 2024 Miss America pageant and made history as the first contestant to give a bilingual answer during the question segment on stage and securing the 10th place.
